FAQs

  • Therapy can be helpful for anyone looking to improve their mental health, work through challenges, or develop coping skills. At Blue Rock Therapy, LLC, we work with clients facing anxiety, grief, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and more. Together, we explore your goals and determine how therapy can best support you.

  • You always set the pace in therapy. Sessions are guided by your comfort level, and your therapist uses a trauma-informed, gentle approach to ensure you feel safe sharing only what you’re ready to discuss.

  • Scheduling your first appointment is easy! You can call or email—whichever is most convenient. Email is often fastest, and voicemail messages are confidential.

Once we hear from you, Blue Rock Therapy, LLC will follow up to discuss your needs, confirm fit, and review scheduling options. You’ll then receive a link for intake paperwork to complete before your first session, helping your therapist get to know you and saving time during your appointment.

  • Session availability may vary depending on scheduling, but generally, Blue Rock Therapy, LLC offers appointments:

    • Monday – Friday: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

    • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Lunch sessions may also be available by request.

Hours are subject to change, so please contact us to confirm current availability.

  • Starting something new can feel intimidating, but your first session is designed to be welcoming and supportive. We’ll begin by reviewing any questions you have and completing intake paperwork, ensuring your therapist has the information needed to provide the best care.

The session will then focus on getting to know you, your history, and your current concerns. Early sessions are about building rapport and addressing immediate needs, not diving deeply into trauma or sensitive experiences right away. You’re encouraged to share what feels comfortable and helpful for you.

  • Therapy is individualized. Some clients find a few sessions helpful, while others benefit from longer-term work. Session frequency and duration are tailored to your needs and goals, and we revisit this as your progress evolves.

  • Currently, Blue Rock Therapy, LLC operates on a self-pay basis. We are working toward becoming paneled with Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina and Aetna.

Full payment, copays, deductibles, or coinsurance are the responsibility of the client and are due at the time of your session. Payments can be made easily with credit or debit card.

  • Therapists are only available during scheduled sessions, so if you have questions or concerns between appointments, you can:
